EXT. GALLOWS DAY

We see an EXECUTIONER placing a noose around BETSY’S neck.

EXECUTIONER
I now sentence you to death by
hanging.

BETSY
No! You can’t do that.

EXECUTIONER
Sure I can. Watch.

BETSY
Wait! Please. I have a family. A
husband and children who need me.

EXECUTIONER
Sure. Now…I sentence you to death
by hanging.

BETSY
Wait! Please don’t kill me. I’m not
ready to die. I’ll do anything. I’m
begging you.

EXECUTIONER
Sure. Now…I sentence you to death
by hanging.

BETSY
No! No! Wait! One more thing. You
can’t hang me. I get really bad
motion sickness if I’m swinging
around.

EXECUTIONER
You mean you’ll get sick and vomit?

BETSY
Sure.

EXECUTIONER
So what you’re saying is if I hang
you then you’ll probably puke all
over me and my new boots?

BETSY
Pretty much.

EXECUTIONER
Release her! She’s free to go!
